Forget the Miller Light and imports, everyone is loving craft beers. They can provide a variety of seasonal offerings to suit any beer drinker’s taste. It’s a great way to shop local and support your small businesses as well. Not to mention the fun of going on some tasting trips around the Hill Country.
Some examples and great locations to look at include:
Altstadt Brewery in Fredericksburg – did you know you can go for a tour, have some food and sample lots of amazing homebrew not to mention homemade pretzels and music as well. The brewery not only has a variety of their own craft beers, it also looks like a castle and makes for a perfect wedding or event location to boot.
Also on the list, we have Boerne Brewery, Cibolo Creek Brewing Co, Dodging Duck Brewhaus, and the new Tusculum Brewery. These locations provide some great homemade beer selections and most offer tasty food to go along with their equally tasty quaff. Check out their calendars for special events and music.
There are more than 50 individual breweries in the San Antonio – Austin area and many have great food and bands to spice up a tasting tour. If you are looking for an all-in-one location, check out the Old Pearl Brewery complex in San Antonio, it is sure to please.
This is just a sample of what the Hill Country has to offer so don’t forget to go on that craft beer tour to pick your favorite. This is a tasting I guarantee your fiancé or groom would not mind attending.
Guys go for the beer tour and ladies do the wine tour but don’t forget to book an uber or bus. You won’t want to be driving after your first stop on this tour!
